Toddler 2-3 Years
New found skills are practiced and gently advanced at their own pace. Your little one will start to gain much more confidence, learning to move the water and starting to swim with your assistance and swimming aids. Lessons are still kept varied and fun to keep your active toddler entertained!
Preschool Stage 1
This Class is for Children aged 3-4years who are already confident & travelling forward & backwards for 3-5m unaided & independently.
Pre-school Age 3
Children start to show signs of swimming, some progress to having a go by themselves! Skills such as getting their faces wet and retrieving objects from underwater are learned in a fun and safe way. You will find your teacher in the water for this class & therefore parents can keep dry and watch from the side!
Non-swimmer Age 4+
For children age 4+ who're new to swimming, with no swimming experience or low water confidence. Also for children progressing from our Preschool Age 3-4 class.
We'll help your child build their confidence in the water, learn to listen and follow instructions and gain fundamental swimming and lifesaving safety skills. The emphasis is on fun at all times to kickstart their love for the water.
Stage 1
For independent swimmers with basic water confidence. We build upon their confidence and skills learned in our Non-Swimmer Age 4+ class (or first level elsewhere) and will encourage independent movement in the pool, travelling 5m with aids, floating and pushing off the wall. We focus on water safety and start teaching the children how to save their own life.
If your child has no swimming experience please book Non-Swimmer Age 4+ and complete this level first and we will progress you child to Stage 1 when they're ready.
Stage 2
For children who are happy in the water moving around the pool with or without swim aids and are ready to add kick technique to their swimming ability. We ensure children have the skills to save their own life.
Stage 1 must be completed first.
Stage 3
We will develop your child's independence and confidence to remove reliability on any swim aids as they start to learn to travel 10m competently in the water, pick up submerged objects and have a better understanding of water safety. Breathing techniques are introduced.
Stage 2 Must Be Completed First.
Stage 5
Skills such as sommersaults, various jumps into the water, diving, horizontal sculling are taught. We also have a go swimming wearing clothes to further enhance your childs' water safety skills. Arm and leg movements are reinforced to swim full stroke in breastroke, Backstroke and Front crawl.
Stage 4 Must Be Completed First.
Stage 6
Skills such as sommersaults, various jumps into the water, diving and horizontal sculling are refined. We also have a go swimming longer while wearing clothes/PJs to further enhance your childs' water safety skills. Arm, leg and breathing techniques are reinforced to swim full strokes with multiple rhythmical breaths.
Stage 5 Must Be Completed First.
